Metal hydride cylinders
Metal hydride systems for hydrogen storage are the most promising among the existing hydrogen storage systems and have a very high degree of safety.
The energy consumption of such systems is up to 10x by volume (the same number of hydrogen, which is in the 40 l tank with a pressure of 300 atmospheres, is contained in the container with the hydride volume of about 4-5 liters).
Available backup time power supply depends on the amount of stored hydrogen. The unit cost of increasing storage capacity of hydrogen is negligible.
"Hot" replacement / connection of a new source of hydrogen without stopping the operation of the system backup.
